Fantastic and aestheic tool!
I bought this one to replace one my father bought about a decade ago for our wood-heat-only homestead in an appalachian hollow where microclimates can change our temperature dramatically from the rest of our region. The old one usually reads within 5 degrees of the brand new one. It's super easy to read and see through my living room window, and I personally think the design is quaint and attractive. The arm on this one keeps it locked in place where the old model spins when the wind blows, so I like that a lot. When the sun hits it directly, the temperature is completely inaccurate, so try to find a nice shady spot without reflective surfaces close by that might cause false readings. Most importantly, after ten years and some hard knocks, the old model is still quite functional, so these little gadgets are fantastic for long term use even when exposed to the elements!

Taylor Precision 5630 6" Dial Thermometer
This is perfect! I had a very old rectangular shaped thermometer but it fell off the hook and broke. This Taylor Precision 5630 fits perfectly on the hook on my patio. It is very easy to read from inside the house. I would definitely purchase this thermometer again.

Not Accurate
Not accurate at all, at least 10 degrees off at all time. Said my greenhouse was 14 degrees when the low was 25

It's very light and should mounted carefully and securely.
Works quite well and seems to be accurate relative to devices in the neighborhood. . Large characters that are easy to view through a window.

Taylor Precision 6" Dial Thermometer
Easy to install, easy to read as the readers digest large print size is awesome. A good value at under $10 ... who needs one with a clock, if the suns up, it's time to see how hot it is! This Taylor Precision 5630 6" Dial Thermometer is a great option, especially for us AZ folks who want to know why our skin is melting!!!

Good Little Thermometer
I have had one of these for years, and just bought a second one. I checked their accuracy versus a digital thermometer. All three were close. I was able to rotate the mechanisms of the two Taylors to get them to agree with the digital. Those mechanisms are delicate but their frames are robust enough to withstand the torque required. These aren't lab instruments, but quite all right for household use. A good value.

Reasonable thermometer
This is a reasonable quality thermometer for the price. The dial is easy to read and seems accurate. That said, the construction leaves a little to be desired. Primarily, the spring coil in the back that moves the dial is exposed to the elements. There's no way rain, snow and ice won't accumulate there and impede the function. I had to attach a plastic disk 3/4 the size of the thermometer to protect the coil but still allow air to reach the inside. Taylor should consider making this improvement in their next design.

Works great!
This is hanging in my donkey’s barn. You can see it well, read the temp from a little distance away, seems durable and a good value for the money.
