I have mealybugs on some indoor houseplants. Can i release these lqdybugs in a 2 bedroom apartment or is that a bad idea?

I released 300 ladybugs inside my 3 bedroom house and they ate all the aphids so fast then I didn’t want them to die so I just started feeding them water, raisins soaked in water and lettuce but eventually I noticed they died off. If I do it again I will gather them up and let them go outside afterwards so they can hibernate in winter or flourish in garden in summer.

$9.50 for shipping and it’s taking 5-6 days to arrive? Ordered Sunday evening and expected them within a couple days for $9.50! Won’t they be dead?

I think the ladybugs will be fine. Even if shipping takes a few days. The are hardy insects.

Are these genuine ladybugs or are they the asian lady beetles (pests)?

They are legit ladybugs (Convergent lady beetle/ladybug or hippodamia convergens). I was also concerned when purchasing them so when they arrived, I compared images of what should arrived and all was good.
