Product Description

Suttons old fashioned scented mix sweet pea are ideal for cut flowers, climber and scented. A great mix of small-flowered, strongly scented varieties, which were the forbears of our modern varieties. Height 1.8 metre. HA - Hardy annual. Culture: full growing instructions given on packet. Sow January-March under glass in gentle heat or in April-May outdoors for flowers June-September. Can also be sown in September-October in a cold frame or greenhouse to overwinter in frames to produce earliest blooms.

Sowing and growing : for early flowering sow in a greenhouse or indoors at approx 13-15 degree C, 3 per 10 cm pot, 13 mm deep (germination 10-20 days). Carefully acclimatise to outside conditions and out in May. Alternatively sow direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil where the s are to flower, 13 mm deep. Remove growing tips after 3-4 pairs of leaves have developed to promote more flowers. May also be sown September-October in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse to over-winter. Quality control: this seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Prior to use, store in a dry cool place.
